At the Faculty of Business, Economics and Statistics of the University of Vienna the position of a
Tenure-Track Professorship for the field ofGovernance, Organizational Design and Digitalization
(full-time position) is to be filled.
Two transformation processes simultaneously reshape our economy: first, digitalization provides enormous volumes of data and processing capability, creating new control structures and altering the allocation of decision rights between actors. Second, the ecological transformation redefines the goals of efficient resource utilization.
This newly established tenure track position is expected to excel in analyzing and contributing to the development of governance structures which support both transformation processes. Methodologically, it is grounded in management sciences, in particular investigating intertemporal decision-making, dynamic games, agency problems of the asymmetric information and the imperfect verification type, incomplete contracts, real options, and/or bifurcation theory.
The University of Vienna expects the successful candidate to acquire, within three years, proficiency in German sufficient for teaching in bachelor’s programmes and for participation in university committees.
