The Institute for Public Management and Governance at Vienna University of Economics and Business is looking for
a Postdoc position
for two years to study Bureaucratic Reputation Theory and related topics, such as public sector stereotypes, trust, etc. There is no strict requirement on type of methods—as long as it is goodquality. It is full time paid and no teaching obligations. Hence, the focus is 100% on research, and can thus be used to boost one’s research, and set up a good basis for research collaborations.
The candidate can work on own projects, while we also expect that they will be collaborating on ongoing and new projects in the context of this project: Episodic citizenship, reputation and stereotypes - Public value, reputation and stereotypes.
If you are interested please reach out to jurgen.willems@wu.ac.at and send a CV (the sooner the better – we evaluate on a permanent basis - include in the CV the topics of interest and projects in the pipeline).
It would be important that the person can start as soon as possible. The start can already be in September, latest by October or November 2025 would be great (for administrative processes: a finished PhD degree—as well as all formal documents—is necessary to start the position).
