The Principal Investigator Project “COMMIT – Collaborative Middle-Mile Transportation” of Dr. Yannick Scherr (BDA department) was approved by the FWF. Over the course of three years, the project will investigate models, solution methods, and exchange mechanisms that enable collaboration of logistics carriers to make middle-mile transportation more efficient. This is a joint project together with Prof. Margaretha Gansterer (University of Klagenfurt). Prof. Mike Hewitt (Loyola University Chicago) will serve as an international expert.

The total funding volume is EUR 367.669, with more than EUR 200.000 going to the BDA department.
