Collective Decision Making
Many important economic decisions are not made by individuals, but jointly by multiple decision makers who have more or less common or adversarial interests. This research area focuses on the processes by which such decisions can be reached. It combines theoretical analysis with empirical, mostly experimental studies in various settings such as group decisions and negotiations. Applications include analyses of (recruitment) consulting, the congruency/divergence of consultant’s and client’s objectives, as well as the alignment of different decision makers perspectives in logistics and transportation.
