Job Offer: Post-Doc Position at the Chair of Foundations of Business Administration and Theories of the Firm at the of the University of Zurich


The candidate will be primarily responsible for conducting a research project financed by the

Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF). The project "Towards Smart Anti-Corruption

Regulation in a Field of INGOs: The Case of International Sports Federations" is about researching

corruption and anti-corruption measures in the field of International Sports Organizations

(such as IOC, FIFA, etc.).

The Chair of Foundations of Business Administration and Theories of the Firm (Prof. Dr. Andreas

Georg Scherer) of the University of Zurich invites applications for a

                  Post-Doc Position (Senior Research and Teaching Assistant)

Starting date for the position is February 1, 2023, or by agreement.

We are looking for candidates with

  • an outstanding PhD in business administration, sociology or political science
  • you are internationally oriented, familiar with qualitative social research and experienced in conducting a larger number of interviews and in inductive theory development
  • very good German and English skills are required (additional French skills would be an advantage)
  • very independent and reliable work


Remuneration follows the official cantonal guidelines. The appointment for the Post-Doc position is 80% for 4 years. Appointment and duration are subject to the approval by the SNSF.
